About Umma university library

Umma University Library houses learning and research information resources in both English and Arabic languages. The library has a large collection of both print and electronic medium. Print resources are organized through the Library of Congress Classification System. The library services are fully automated using KOHA Library Management System URL (https://lib.umma.ac.ke) Umma University Library is a member of Kenya Library and Information Services Consortium (KLISC) which enables library users’ access thousands of Electronic journal titles and articles, and tens of databases. E-Resources are accessed through the Digital library and various Wi-Fi hot points. All library resources are properly secured by a Smart Library RFID Solution. The Library has qualified and adequate staff who are always ready and willing to give the best services to the users.

To provide a well-equipped, safe and supportive environment that is conducive to individual study and collaborative learning.
To work in partnership with Faculty and other departments of the University to ensure the best possible user learning experience.
To promote the library’s role within the University and secure appropriate levels of funding.
To build and maintain a learning community by inculcating information literacy skills to users through a continuous user education program.
